Getting Started

Welcome to the Video Calling App!

Video Calling App is an AI-native video conferencing tool that automates the end-to-end meeting workflow and maintains relevant context. Also, it's a modern UI/UX, the kind you'd expect in 2024!

With tight integrations, powerful AI, and a knowledge library, teams can drive more informed discussions and make sharper decisions.

Invite Team Members

Enhance organizational context and knowledge sharing by inviting your entire team to the Video Calling App.

Navigate to SettingsMembers

Select ‘Add Members’, enter the email id, select the role and send the invite.

Schedule Meetings

Sync your Google Calendar and use the 'Schedule a Meeting' option present in the top-left corner of the navigation bar.

When you create an account, you’ll be prompted to connect your Google Calendar. It’s quite straightforward: log in via your Google Account, and that’s it.

How to schedule meetings on Google Calendar via VCA?

  1. Click on the ‘Calendar’ tab from the left navigation and

      Here are few other ways you can schedule a meeting:

    2. Click on ‘Schedule a Meeting’ on the top left
    3. Drag across a time in the calendar to schedule a meeting
    4. Double click within the calendar around the time slot
  2. Add the meeting title, select date and meeting duration
  3. Invite the participants by adding the email id or browse and select participants from your workspace shown in the drop down

  5. Update the role if required, by default the role selected is ‘Participant’, however you can change it to Host or Guest.

Once you have scheduled a meeting via VCA, it will automatically show up on your google calendar for you and your invitees.

In Meeting Experience

Explore features like the whiteboard, chat, CMD+K shortcut, live transcription, and active background noise cancellation.

Access in meeting reminders

You can access your meeting reminders by clicking the Slack icon at the bottom left of the meeting interface. This will display all the Slack reminders you have set.

Whiteboard

Click on the bottom left corner and select the whiteboard icon. All participants can draw, type, add sticky, images, icons and more to brainstorm and collaborate without the need to screen share with the native whiteboard.

You can also open a previously saved whiteboard within the meeting using the 3 dot menu and clicking ‘Open past whiteboard’.

The whiteboard will be automatically saved at the end of the meeting. You can access it from the meeting library by navigating to the meeting details page and scrolling down to the bottom, below the action items.

Chat

Chat enables participants to share links, images, gifts, files and ask questions & contribute without interrupting speakers.

You can access chat on the bottom right corner of your meeting interface.

Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts help you navigate and control your meetings with ease. These keyboard combinations allow for quick actions like muting, screen sharing, chat, launch whiteboard and more.

  • CMD K for easy accessibility. Use up/down arrow to navigate and hit enter to select the desired action
  • Hit the Space bar to unmute.
  • Click R to open the reaction wheel

Set up automated workflows

Set up integrations with Slack to have a seamless pre and post-meeting experience with reminders flowing in from Slack into the meetings and auto-generated summaries & action items being shared directly to the connected channels. You can also set up Linear to automate task creation and management.

Slack

With Slack <> Video Calling App you can:
  1. Start meetings on the Video Calling App directly via Slack
  2. Schedule meeting on VCA via Slack (Coming soon)
  3. Set pre-meeting Slack notifications so no one misses a meeting
  4. Set reminders for Slack messages to be discussed in an upcoming meeting
  5. Send post-meeting summaries

When you create an account on the Video Calling App, you’ll be prompted to connect your Slack workspace. Click on ‘Connect Slack’ to set it up. To integrate Video Calling App with Slack you must be a Slack Admin.

Linear

With Linear <> Video Calling App you can:
  1. Create tasks on Linear from meeting action items, avoiding any duplicates.
  2. Automatically comment updates on existing tasks based on meeting discussions. This helps directly capture key updates in Linear, integrating meeting insights with project management without any manual input ✨
  3. Block calendar time for Linear tasks to ensure focused work.

Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Linear to connect the Video Calling App with Linear. That’s it.

Find Relevant Context

Browse, View or search for relevant context from past meetings using natural language, keywords, or filters.

Go to ‘Library’ from your left navigation to access your meetings, summaries, transcripts, files and links shared

Use filters like participant, meeting name and keywords to find the relevant content across your meetings.

You can customize search results by:

i) Result types: meetings, summaries, transcripts, files & links

ii) Sort order: relevance, newest, or oldest
